Richard Sue is a cinematographer who splits his time between San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Taipei. He was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area by Chinese American and Taiwanese parents. Richard previously worked in the camera and grip and electric departments on various films before becoming the cinematographer on multiple documentary projects in the SF Bay Area. In addition to film and video work, he enjoys using still photography to capture personal, everyday moments.

As a Chinese American, Richard is tired of the severe lack of positive Asian representation in the mainstream Western media. He wants to help show different sides of Asian culture in order to challenge stereotypes and to present Asian culture in a way that makes it cool even when it falls outside of Western norms.
